Poor Weather Shortens NJCAA Golf National Tournament

CHAUTAUQUA, NY - Troy Heffelfinger finished in a tie for 66th place at the 2013 NJCAA Golf national championship, which was shortened to 54 holes due to poor weather.

Heffelfinger, competing in his first national tournament, finished with a 3 round score of 251 (+35).  "It was a tough week," remarked Head Coach Steve Malitzki, "Troy really battled, but the conditions were very challenging and obviously you are playing against the best golfers in the country.  I thought Troy did a good job staying focused and hopefully this will lead to good things for him next year and a possible return to the national tournament."

Ethan Chamineak of Georgia Military College took medalist honors with a 216 (E), while Vincennes Junior College took the team title with a 910.
