CHAUTAUQUA, NY - Freshman Troy Heffelfinger will compete at the NJCAA Division III National golf tournament this week at the Chautauqua Golf Club.

Heffelfinger, who qualified as an indvidual based on his 5th place finish at the Region XIX Tournament in Cape May, NJ, is Northampton's first golfer to ever compete in the NJCAA national tournament.  Heffelfinger led the Spartans to a 6th place finish at the Region tournament in their first year of NJCAA competition.

"Troy is ready," commented Head Coach Steve Malitzki, "he was really playing some good golf heading down the stretch and this will be a great experience for him competing against the best golfers in the country."
